UN Ulangan Officially Eliminated



In the implementation of the National Examination (UN), 2011, some fundamental changes of which no longer re-examination. For those who do not pass, the UN still could take the package C for high school students.

"Package C test results may still be used to go to college," said Education Minister Mohammad Nuh, on Thursday (12/30/2010).

Other changes, students' graduation final value is calculated by combining the UN with the final school examination score (UAS). The formula, 60 percent to weigh the value of the UN and 40 percent of UAS.

"Achievement of students during class I, II, and III will be counted for graduate students," said Mendiknas RI M. Nuh.

Through weighting, said Mendiknas RI M. Nuh, the students will pass though the value of its UN-4 for certain subjects, but the UAS must receive a minimum value of 8.

"We recommend that national test scores achieved by students are not at least until the value of school exams that must be achieved students are not too large to reach graduation," said Mendiknas RI M. Nuh.

Responding to change the formula of UN 2011, the Executive Director of the Institute for Education Reform at the University of Paramadina Mohammad Abduhzen rate, the government actually only repeating the old format and there was no fundamental change.

"It's just perfunctory changes since the initial establishment of the government because it is the UN should exist," he said.

Abduhzen rate, the UN is not the only way to map the quality of education for student learning outcomes is only one component of measuring. There are still other components, such as teacher quality and learning tool that must be improved.
